The AGM has been rescheduled again to January 22, 2008 at 7:30 pm, West Hillhurst Upstairs (confirmed). The "Selects" are a registered non-profit society run by volunteers dedicated to AAA Spring Hockey.

 

 

Annual Meeting Procedure

There are a number of outstanding updates required to the current policies and procedures for the smooth and practical operation of the Association, as such, any concerns with the procedures below should be raised (to the President and Vice President) at least 5 days prior to the annual meeting to allow the Directors and Officers an opportunity to address any such concerns.  Certain statements in the bylaws make it difficult to fully comply with the requirements needed to serve meeting notice and define membership.  The spirit of the association’s function should be considered in this process.  As per the website announcement of December 27, 2008, the meeting particulars are as follows.

Meeting date: January 22, 2008
Time: 7:30 PM
Location: West Hillhurst Arena (Upstairs)

The primary purpose of the society annual meeting is to elect the Directors and Officers for the next year period.  Out of respect for those who have put their names forward in good faith, kindly contact the President and Vice President at least 5 days prior to the meeting if you have an interest in running or wish to recommend someone for any of the executive positions.

The President shall report to the membership on behalf of the Directors and the term “President’s Report” and “Directors Report” may be used interchangeably.

The Treasurer shall present the financial report.  All future looking statements, including budget, are only recommendations for the incoming executive.

Unless properly submitted in writing for due consideration by the membership and Board in advance of the meeting, there will be no business presented from the floor.

The detailed documents are provided in advance to expedite the meeting.  If you require clarification or note errors, kindly contact the appropriate party within a reasonable advance period.

Keeping in mind the purpose of the annual meeting, all new business will be dealt with at the first board meeting (February 4, 2008).  Coordinators will be required to come prepared with their team updates.

Because all parties have had extensive notice to prepare, this being the second meeting attempt, it is expected that all members respect the foregoing.
